Privacy Policy
This release uses Google Mobile Ads to display an app-open advertisement after the first launch. We use the Google User Messaging Platform to request consent where required. Firebase Analytics is not enabled.
1. Who we are
Cleaner Home is an Android utility application for local device cleaning, file management, and device tools, maintained by the Cleaner Home developer. This policy applies to Cleaner Home obtained from Google Play and other lawful distribution channels.
2. Information we process and why
Cleaner Home does not provide account registration. When you use a feature and grant its required permission, the following information is processed on your device to provide that feature:
| Information or permission | Purpose | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Files, photos, videos, audio, and related metadata such as names, paths, sizes, and modification times | To scan for junk, large, or duplicate files; browse files; compress photos; and, only after your confirmation, delete or manage selected files. | Read and analyzed on your device. We do not upload these files or their contents to a developer server. |
| Installed app information, such as app name, icon, package name, and storage use | To provide app management, uninstall, cleaning suggestions, and, when enabled, launcher functionality. | Read and displayed on your device. It is not sold or sent to a developer server. |
| Usage access permission | Only after you voluntarily grant Android Usage Access in system settings, to check access status and support device-management functions. | Queried locally. You may revoke this permission at any time in Android settings. |
| Device status, such as available storage, battery state, OS version, and network connection state | To display device status, run cleaning tasks, maintain foreground services, and avoid unsuitable network operations. | Processed locally and not used to create advertising profiles. |
| Notification permission | To show task progress, battery, or cleaning reminders after you allow notifications. | Notification content is generated locally and can be disabled in Android settings. |
| Advertising data, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device and operating-system information, app interactions, and diagnostic information | To request, deliver, measure, secure, and limit fraud in app-open advertisements. | Processed by Google Mobile Ads and its advertising partners under their applicable privacy policies. Where required, we request your consent through Google User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. |
| Google Play install-referrer parameters, install-source category, and first-install time | To determine whether the app was installed from Google Play and retain a local category such as organic or campaign source for internal compatibility logic. | On first launch, the app may read referrer parameters through the Google Play Install Referrer service. It stores only the source category and first-install time in local preferences. The current release does not use this data to show ads or send it to a developer server. |
3. Information we do not collect or share
- We do not require an account and do not intentionally collect your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, SMS messages, call logs, or payment information.
- We do not enable Firebase Analytics or sell personal information. We do not share your file contents, installed-app list, or usage-access data with advertising partners or developer servers.
4. Network and third-party services
The app uses network permission for web pages and system links that you choose to open, and for the Google Play Install Referrer service described above. If you open a third-party website in the app, that website handles data under its own privacy policy; we do not control its practices.
The app uses Google Mobile Ads to display app-open advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform to request and manage privacy choices where required. Google Mobile Ads and its advertising partners may process advertising data as described above to deliver ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. The app also uses Google Play Install Referrer as described above.
5. Retention, deletion, and your choices
- Scan results, favorites, settings, and install-source categories are stored on your device, normally until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
- Files are deleted only after you select them and confirm the action. Whether a deleted file can be recovered depends on Android, the storage location, and your file-management setup.
- You can deny or revoke permissions in Android Settings → Apps → Cleaner Home → Permissions. A related feature may not work if its permission is not granted.
- Where available, you can review or change advertising privacy choices from the app’s privacy options entry point. You can also manage your advertising ID and ad-personalization choices in Android or Google settings.
- You can delete locally stored app data through Android app settings, or uninstall the app.
6. Security and children
We rely on Android permission controls and app sandboxing to limit data access. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If we materially change features or data practices, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date before enabling the change. Please review this policy when using a new release.
8. Contact us
For a privacy question, deletion request, or question about this policy, contact the developer through Cleaner Home GitHub Issues and include “Privacy” in the title. Do not post identification documents, complete file contents, or other sensitive personal information in a public issue.
